Jonny Day is a Suffolk born musician who first took up the guitar at the grand old age of eight. Since then he’s also fallen in love with the banjo and various other folky instruments (some of which you’ll hear in this album) and, as his working life took him around East Anglia and even to Scotland for a year, he expanded his music making skills to include writing and performing his own material alongside his favourite folk standards with his band Tanglewife.

Teddy & Nandi Pester

(viola, low whistle, vocals, mandola, guitar)

Teddy is a multi-instrumentalist and fronts the fantastic band Stolen horse. He and his wife Nandi (vocals) are featured in every track on the album. growing up in Suffolk with folk music was obviously the perfect backdrop to influence his writing style of both music and lyrics.

David owen

David is an established drummer and fronts a folk duo False Colours playing Tenor guitar with other half Polly Harris on bass (who we quickly snapped up to play on The Great Rising.

Zach Hawkins

Zach is the artist behind the Album cover. A talented graphic designer and a creative hard worker. Zach came up with several designs in a very short time frame, all of which were professional and therefore hard to pick from.
